Self Employment?
2 Answers
Hi Everyone,
My partner and i are planning shortly to move to a remote village where my partner will be commuting. I dont drive and so i thought of maybe setting up an ironing service for the locals to make some money myself.
My question is, will i need to register as self employed if i do this? I wouldnt be making much i'd imagine.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thankyou x

Yes you would have to be registered as self employed. I started doing ironing over 10 years ago. I know have a very established business that both myself and my partner run. We have several people working for us, so I don't do any ironing anymore. I started it all at home, doing ironing for people to make a bit of cash, and here I am today. I now only work about 3 hours a week. Keep it up, don't give in. Hope this helps!
