Laws about smoking in Tenerife? Is legend about ?

My friend has just come back from Tenerife and tells me that there are 3 different types of laws for bars over there.

1. A Bar can oft to be non smoking completely.
2. A bar can be non smoking inside but allows it outside on their premises.
3. A bar can be completely smoking inside or out.

All the smoking bars need is a special license which once granted allows them this facility.

Is this right, if it is it seems to be a very civilised law.

hi, we went to tenerife in feb and found that some of the bars were non-smoking, we could take our 13yr old in them, and some of the bars allowed people to smoke,no children allowed though, non smoking bars allows smokers to smoke outside the premises., hope this helps!!

which bar do you work in legend?? we had a really good week there in feb it was scorching, we stayed on border of cristianos & las americas it was lovely.
