This is a bit gross,but why can we abide the smell of our own farts,but others we find repugnant?

This phenomenon can be attributed to the Pavlovian response that precipitates from the relief accompanying ones own flatulence not to mention pride in ownership, especially when having achieved a particularly breathtaking pungency.
