Hi. Just moved house recently and have installed cable broadband, had this at my last place too, so I'm up running now with all the same gear. However, my laptop (IE7 & wireless network) isn't able to load web pages. I know that it's getting on line though as I'm able to update my anti-virus etc. Thought there might be some settings in IE7 I could change or maybe it's something to do with my IP � any suggestions will be appreciated.
I am on cable too - similar set up to yourself and asimilar problem.
It was solved by switching everything off at the mains plugs. Modem, router, pcs - everything. Wait a few minutes then turn back on in this exact order:
Modem - wait at least 30 seconds for the lights to settle
Router (if separate) - wait as above....
PCs inc laptops.
Hopefully that will sort it.
Check Virgins status page too - the problem may be at their end, not yours.
