L. B. Martin

Can anyone supply biographical information on cartoonist L. B. Martin? I know he worked for Punch Magazine in the 1930s and 1940s. He also designed amusing seaside postcards for Valentine Cards and (I believe) he did some of the 'My Goodness, My Guiness' adverts in the late 1940s. Apart from that I know nothing and I'm finding it hard to find anything more. I don't even know what L. B. stands for.
