Cook(e) Leicester
5 Answers
Daniel Cook(e) married Caroline, they had 5 children and moved around the country. I have been unable to find a birth registration for the children, each census states a different place. Daniel came from Chalford and Caroline from Bourne, first child supposedly born in Lichfield. Any thoughts on how I can proceed with the ancestors of this line please

The next child was Samuel, then Henrietta (sometimes Harriet) then Lucy and then Elizabeth (1862). In 1861 they were living in Leicester according to the census but I still cannot find the GRO reference for Elizabeth who definitely should be there, or a baptism certificate. I get the feeling that Daniel was a bit of a chancer, in 1851 they were in Wolverhampton, by 1861 in Leicester where he became Licensed Hawker.
