this isn't really much of a question, but in the past couple of weeks i have been extremely depressed. my "friends" have ditched me telling me they don't want me around anymore, my brother who i am very close with and probably my best friend has moved out, i am doing terrible in school and pressured by my parents, and i have been alone, without a girlfriend in a long time, and it lowers my self esteem. i guess what i'm asking is, what can i do?

Presumably your brother can still be contacted by telephone. Give him a call and talk to him.
My 14 year old son has problems at school too. I have to admit that I put pressure on him at times to do better, this usually ends in an argument. As a parent I worry about my sons future. I went through the same things when I was at school. I struggled, got pressure from my parents and got very depressed. I left school and moved straight into a dead end job. Twenty years later I've now worked up to something better, with better money, but for twenty years I've had a crap job with crap money. I don't want my son to go through the same and I'm sure your parents don't want you to go through the same either. Parents aren't always the best at communicating with their children. They don't always tell them the troubles they had when they were young. Be assured, parents don't always show it, but we do care about our children. Try talking to your parents, they're not really monsters.
Hope things work out for you, take care.

Hey Sun,
Go to see a doctor. I suffered from pain, disappointment, and bouts of rage, feeling an outsider, and failure. All my teachers said "does't use full potential". They were wrong. I was doing great with what I was working with.I know that now, not then. People, places and things works only for a short while, Why? Because depression has a way of creating a life of it's on, at your expense. Should you opt not to see a "good" Dr now, just keep the option open and stay aware of how much and how often depression rules. Love
I don't know how old you are but at 26 this is what I know. I was an unhappy child teased at school for being a "fat kid". I have had some very bad times that made me question my perpose in this world. I have never been on drugs for depression and I think that should be the LAST resort for anyone. You have what it takes within yourself to fix your problems. I am a very happy person and through everything bad in my life something better has always come out of it! Friends are great but in my oppinion over rated. A girlfriend or boyfriend is great to have but if you cannot be happy on your own then what do you want one for? You cannot spend your life waiting for otthers to make you happy! Concentrait on the important things in life. Your family, your education, and your goals! Remember these 2 things. No matter how bad things are for you someone else has it worse, and this to shall pass! Good Luck!
