recording dvd's on to hard disk

hi. is there a way i can record rental dvd'd on to my hard dvd hard disk? if there is whats the process what is needed? thanks

right first of all you will need:
1. a dvd player
2. a dvd decrypter
3. a ISO player

once you have these things put you dvd in your player and run the decrpting prog. once decrypted the program will copy it to a ISO and then you can view when you want or you can burn it to a blank dvd with a dvd burner and watch it when you want.......
BTW this all deoends on if the decrpyter can get around the copy protection.......
