I have a really crusty bogey up my nose that's really annoying me. It's a real side-clinger that's encrusted to the skin right at the back of the nostril so I can't reach it.

What's the best way to shift these ones? Do you have a tried & tested method?

Do I leave it to take its natural course? Or can I do something like snort hand cream to soften everything up to help with the shifting process?

Use a blunt penknife. If you use a sharp one, or a vegetable paring knife, you could pierce the septum or the nostril and cause a large arterial bleed.
Oh for crying out loud!!!! is this what B+S has decended too?
take a cotton but, add a copious amount of vaseline to one end, CAREFULLY insert into you nostril, apply a generous amount of vaseline onto the offending piece of snot and let it drip out, but for fcuk be careful ok?
Do you know someone with a long, pointy finger? That'd do it.

Good grief woman!
oi Champers!!!!!
I gave good old medical advice there, where's MY stars???
Oh if only you hadn't cut your nails so short there wouldn't be a problem.

(except for the occasional massive nose bleed that you deny all knowledge of a reason for)
now come on, johnlambert, surely this is just the sort of question B&S was intended for, rather than the late- night drunken ramblings that fill it up? And you gave a sensible answer, too.

I was going to suggest a corkscrew, that would give your conk a real good reaming at the same time, but if you have really hairy nose holes you will have to probably turn it ant-clockwise to get said corkscrew out again, good luck champers
Sorry, I meant that i spent 3 1/2 years training to be an Army medic, I,ve treated casualties at RTA's, traumtic amputations, gunshot wounds, severe shock, blast injuries and I end up on a website explaining to someone I've never met how to pick her nose!!
And still no flipping STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get a paper hanky, twist the end and insert while pushing and twisting should do it, it'll be a work of art that comes out too!
Spot on Skreech!
ah but johnlambert, that just shows what you have desended to, not B&S! I've always wished I could pick my nose, I could get a much more stylish one.
I'll get my coat :-(
Don't you just love the 'Ads By Google' that appear down the right, relevant to the question?

This offers a DVD of nose jobs, and the chance to browse oure carefully selected rhinoplasty specialists!

Nothing from Kleenex though.
Oh Champers - haven't laughed so much for ages!
No, but seriously, why would you want to ruin a good night's entertainment? There's nothing on tele.
P.S. Please don't put it on You Tube

Hahahaha! Great answers people! (you got your star, John. Happy now???)

I blame the hayfever season. Plus only recently getting over a cold. I didn't know one person could produce so much mucus!!

But I did the diplomatic thing and went home last night, had a hot bath, then sneaked away into the privacy of my bedroom to dig it out with a cotton bud. So I followed John's advice afte all.

:o)
