They got married in June '93 & went the day after for two weeks, so not sure what the weather would be like in September. But here's a weather chart:

Hope you find the perfect holiday - have fun!

Ray - Please, please, please can I recommend the Maldives. In particular, Velidhu Island. I went last year in July and it was absolutely fantastic. It was just the best place to relax after months of planning the wedding. It's a true paradise island. We travelled with the Travel Collection, they were superb and so was the cost.
Have a look at their website: www.travelcollection.co.uk - you want the Indian Ocean section - dates are still available for September. Also take a look at http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews2376.html. The reviews are spot on :)
Hope you and your wife have a fabulous time wherever you go (but Maldives recommended highly...and take the sea plane!)

Sorry - That link doesn't work. If you just type in the search field on the www.reviewcentre.com website, and then type 'Velidhu Island' in the search field. Scroll down and then click on the 'North Ari Atoll, Velidhu Island' link which has 22 reviews you will be able to see everyone's reviews and ratings. Wish we could go back again this year :) (I was there this time last year!)
I went to the Seychelles in 2000.
It really was spectacular, You start on one island thinking it's the most beautiful place you've ever seen and then go to a smaller island and think "God that last place was a dump compared to this".
I think the big difference between the two is that the Maldives is generally quite low lying where as there are some quite mountainous parts of the Seychelles with tropical rainforest spilling down into the Indian ocean.
If you I'd try to go to Praslin island, Mahe the main island is nice but Praslin's nicer.
La Digue will make you think you died and went to heaven
but it is tiny and there's very limited accomodation.

I've been to this beach and this is really what it looks like, my daughter was 5 and nearly chained herself to a palm tree, she didn't want to leave so much.
I've not been to the Maldives but although it looks nice it doesn't look like the sort of place you could fall in love with on the other hand my wife's still threatening to do a Reggie Perrin and end up back there.

Have a look at Kuredu.com. It's in the Maldives and we went there before the boys came along - in fact, one was in my tummy already but we didn't know at that point! It was fantastic, gorgeous, spectacular, everything you could wish for, but this resort has been upgraded since we went, so it's even better now! We dream of going back - hubby has a "Weather in the Maldives" widget that pops up on the desktop every time we turn on the 'pooter. He loves to sit and daydream....!
My one bit of advice is to get the timing right. We went middle/end of May - the first week was fabulous, but the second was rainy (still hot though) as we had just hit the beginning of their rainy season. It CAN be that precise!! We should have noticed that the prices were beginning to go down - 2 or 3 weeks later and they were way down. When they're higher - there's a reason!!
Can I come with you?? xx
