Alastair Campbell Diaries and Tony Blair
What sort of treachery is this ? A smooth silky sounding voice, hacking away at the establishment that PAID him, supported him, and put him where he was. I cannot stand people who try to make money out of cheap rubbish designed to stir up Joe Public into a self-righteous rage.

Line your pockets while you are in the job and then write a book about it afterwards (usually stabbing everyone in the back). Top it off with a nice pension and away you go. Certainly stirred you up eh Joe? You watch tho - it will be in the best sellers list in a week or so - they always are.
The Labour Party has been split for most of Blair's tenure at No.10, while Campbell was chief Rottweiller in the PM's camp. Now that Blair has gone, Campbell's political life is also over. He doesn't need to be be careful of his job because he hasn't got one. The few extracts I have seen of Allatair Campbell's Secret Diaries aged 50 and a half it is a very lean offering. There is no meat. It is an expurgated version and will probably cause nobody any problems. And cashing in shamelessly fits in brilliantly with the whole Blair ethos.
Old habits & all that - addicted to spin, celebrity, vanity power and wealth - Campbells just taking another huge fix. Various other cuddly, more padded out, versions of Tonys & Alis story will emerge from time to time when further fixes are needed to feed the Campbell habit.

whiffey, did you watch this programme last night? I watched it for a while, but my most over riding feeling was boredom, tinged with a bit of interest thinking gosh is it really as long as 7 years ago since Leo was born. Hasn't Tony aged more than 7 years, well if thats what happens when you are Prime Minster no wonder he resigned and who can blame him he needs a rest.
As a Jo Public I was far from stirred into self-righteous rage, were you?
