Pregnant women pushing it too much
5 Answers
Where i work we have several pregnant women working, the charity that i work for are understanding of these ladies, but my god do they milk it, we deal with people who cant look after themselves, when you are on with them you might as well not have them there, they cant do this and cant do that, always on some form of risk assessment, they just sit at the table drinking tea, while others are running around try to get there work done, some are regular at starting a shift , then mysteriously after a few hours they feel ill, have to go home, then get paid the full shift, what can you say!, only one member of staff was like a trojan horse, and she worked right up until the last week and was 42,and before has a legimate go, i am a woman and have had 2 children, have anyone one else seen this happen at there workplace

Years ago people {men, women & children} worked all the hours under the sun for a small pittance just to put food in their mouths, i'm afraid puddicat times have significantly moved on now, we are governed by Health & safety laws as well as childcare rights, someone has an accident at work whilst pregnant and the solicitors will be queuing up to represent that person, most women are accomadated nowadays once they fall pregnant, some are accomadated earlier than others depending on the line of work involved.
I know what angle your coming from, but put yourself in their shoes, i agree some may over exaggerate, but your have to live with it i'm afraid

I saw one girl have a spontaneous abortion from a pain that started as she leant to far over to hand something over a counter that was a touch too high. She was 18 weeks if you had been there that day, you would just think live and let live.
I myself was hoiking furniture around and up and down stairs and working the same as everyone else because I was worried about people moaning that I wasn't pulling my weight. The risk assesments are covering your employers.
