film to disc

i downloaded 2 films to my laptop
one is divx other is avi .
can watch them both on my laptop
does anyone know what i need to burn them onto disc and where to download any programes for doing so ????

If the vids are on your laptop and you want to watch them on your laptop why bother burning them to disk?

Am I right in saying that Windows doesn't recognise the files?

Go to http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/codec and download the divx codec. Windows should play them fine then.
