bank charges

Basically i donate to the nspcc every month the small sum of �2 (every little helps!) but the bank keep charging me for going overdrawn spoke to them eariler and they said any money being donated to a charity should have all charges paid back to me they gave me a no 2 phone 2moro as line closed to discuss, but does anybody know if this is true and if i would be eligable to claim back all charges due to it being to a charity help! The bank is the halifax

If your direct debit is only for �2 per month, why do you keep going overdrawn - is it that difficult to make sure that you have �2 in your account each month?
When I worked for NatWest they didn't care who the direct debit was to, if it bounced or took you overdrawn you got charged, charity or not.
