Mobile Camera Problems

I'm trying to help our caretaker at work. he's got a samsung phone, sorry don't know what model, he's had it over 12months and bought it from The Link but hasn't got the receipt so doesn't feel he can go in for advice. When he tries to take a photograph the lens picture will come on then a message comes up saying 'Preview Error' does anybody have any ideas about what might be wrong please. Thanks
