What do you think about DAB radios?

I'm not convinced by all the hype we keep hearing about DAB radios. At work, we have 2 radios in different sections. If you stand in a certain place, you can hear them both. They are both tuned to the same station. One is a DAB radio, the other is a normal one. The broadcast from the DAB radio is 5 seconds behind the normal radio. Why is that? Also, the DAB radio seems muffled to me; nothing like the clarity that we keep hearing about. So the DAB radio is slower with reduced clarity. Is that a fair asessment?

Hey 10CSt long time no errr see!

Yes I agree too, Mr Boo bought me a DAB radio a few years ago and quite frankly I thought it was pants and definitely not worth all the hype.
I love my Bad, its got ace sound, very clear and I wouldn't be without it. I bought a cheapo one and it wasnt as good as the Pure one I have, so I now have 3 pure.
Bad? DAB! even

Well no, obviously, lol ;-)

I frequent pubs about once every 6 months 10CSt, so on that basis, when I hit the pub again in 4 months time i'll worry about it then.
goodsoulette,
i agree with you i to have a pure DAB, the sound is
clear & no hiss or distortion,
and so versatile, especially, the selected presets.
We listen to the sport on radio5 at night DAB is far superior no interference at all But we took it to Cornwall on holiday and couldn't get a signal !!
