1930s Semi - Replacing bay windows and roof.
3 Answers
I'm considering putting an offer on 1930s semi but the bay windows at the front plus the small box room window and the roof may need replacing.
Could anyone give me a ball park figure (to the nearest 1000) for how much this is likely to cost?
Also, is it possible to get double-glazed wooden replacement windows, and how much roughly would that cost?
Thanks in advance.

We have hard wood double glazed wooden windows which are a natural wood stain. I have never regretted having them and they are very easy to maintain.
If you google 'wooden double glazed windows' there are loads of companies advertising.

We have had ours for some years and, although they were dearer, they weren't three times the price otherwise we couldn't have afforded them. But prices may be different these days.
If I were you I would make some enquiries from smaller companies in your area - they are often cheaper and better than the larger companies. If you approach local builders and architects about putting them in they often can give you good advice.
Good luck anyway.
