I have downloaded the free U Tube Downloader& I find it works great on my WindowsXP, my son has a Mac computer, can anyone tell me if there is an equivelent U Tube Downloader for Mac.

I'd ignore the above and also remove whatever you've installed for Windows, and just install Miro.

It's a million times better, works with a lot more than just YouTube, and is generally a very good app:

wideboy: the link I provided works fine for me. a short outage for their hosts?

I use it daily on the Mac; it used to be called Democracy. Brilliant piece of free software. To play video, it uses VLC, so plays just about anything too.
