Hypodermic Needle Test
2 Answers
A colleague of mine was accidentally stabbed by a discarded hypodermic needle whilst at work. He went to the hospital with the needle but the hospital would not test the needle or even look at it. He now has to wait 6 months and have various tests before being given the all clear.
My question is where can we have the discarded hypodermic needle tested? We are willing to pay if need be. If the needle is tested and say for instance it has never been used or it has nothing in it then that would reduce a hefty amount of my colleagues worry and anxiety.
So does anyone know where i can contact to get this needle tested ?? The hospital didn't want to know which i think is pathetic !!
Thanks in advance.

6 months isn't right though or to you mean the tests will finish in 6 months?
He should have the results of the first test back in a few days. He should of also been given a shot of an anti viral for HIV.
