big evil pop ups

okay im surfing the net and i keep getting full screen pop ups that i cant get rid of... ive use macafee, ad aware and spybot but they just wont go away! ... and everytime i run one ofthese programs i get a pop up tellin me 2 buy this security thing..

any help?

First of all, loking at your other thread, I wouldnt try transferring files just yet.
Second, which product is the popup trying to sell you?

You simply need to turn the pop-up blocker on. You haven't said what browser you are using. The top two, IE7 and Firefox both have pop-up blockers which you can simply turn on,and provide exceptions for those legitimate sites where you want to enable pop-ups. either way, you are in control.

yea the pop up blockers are on -- im using ie7 and mozilla firefox 2 - the pop ups arrive on both but.

i jst close the pop up blocker advert everytime it comes up -soz i dno the name of it.

Yup, thats Smitfraud. You rarely get an infection on it's own which is why Im reluctant to point you towards the tool. There is a better tool but Id really have to see a log.
If you register at Tom Coyote, download this little program,

save it to your Desktop, then d/click it, and set it up, sticking with the defaults.
When it finishes, the program will launch. Select "Scan and Save a Logfile". Notepad will open so select all and copy and paste the logfile in a new thread in this room.
