i have been told i shouldnt run my merc sprinter on bio diesel because of the high pressure in the common rail engine?

so i shall be using vegtable oil in it soon............... after watching something on discovery turbo the other night they mentioned the oil should be mixed at 30% with diesel?............. but i didnt catch the begining?

can anyone enlighten me?

When the Bio-Diesel is 100% pure, then according to the Website below, a further 5% of fuel can be added, for example, vegetable or sunflower oil. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EN_14214#Specific ations
A word of caution.
Some Bio-Diesel producers have taken to adding the 5% themselves, this is not illegal, as it still conforms to EN 14214. This could then cause problems if you add a further 5% to the mix. You should check this out with your supplier.
