If cats always land on their feet and toast always lands butter side down then which would win if a piece of toast was strapped butter side up on a cat's back.

p.s. I'm not suggesting anyone try this...and no i haven't either.

Cat - Toast
cat i guess .

everytime
You can't strap toast to a cat's back, they won't stay still long enough unless you stun them first in which case their falling reflexes are inhibited and the experiment is nullified. Stupid question.

judging by the posts you get on here whiffy neither man nor beast will stay close to you long enough but in theory the rest of us mere mortals may induce a sense of trust long enough to try ha ha
You may well go in for the here kitty kitty trust me approach but a sharp bash on the head with a brick is more reliable.
OK well I just tried it and luckily my cat landed on her feet meaning my toast was safe, Yay!!

Oh the cats fine too ................

but as you say - experiment nullified.

I've tried it now and my fooking cats ran of with me supper
misty, if you'd clobbered her with a brick first and tied her legs up with garden string you would have got a more favourable outcome from an upstairs window.
Question Author
and by the time you get down stairs your suppers gone too!
You are all cruel.......I'm phoning the RSPCA asap...... ;-)
Dont worry Redbel I shared the toast with her to say thanks for letting me drop her from the window, she seemed happy enough. Simple cat my Penny :)
I haven't got a cat mistys.....but tried it with my g/s dog.....he bit me and robbed the toast........lol
Also, if you place a goldfish in an innertube filled with water it will swim around until it gets tyred.
If you strap two cats of equal size and weight back to back and drop them off a table, would they just simply continiously spin in mid air??
Actually the reason you can't strap toast to a cat's back (try saying that 10 times really fast) is because the magnetic pull of the butter on the toast and the cat always landing on its feet repel against each other; a bit like the south poles of 2 magnets repelling against each other.

If you did manage to find a scientific solution to this and strapped the toast to the cat's back there would probably be catastrophic results. Worse than splitting the atom.

I hope no children are reading this.

Kids: DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME.
I think this thread is one of the most delightfully surreal I have ever seen and I think it should be given an award. A signed copy of Robinson Crusoe.
I've had the best laugh ever with this one.LOL.
I dropped the Cat & the toast at the same time. The bloody Cat landed on the toast( butterside down ) made a right mess on the carpet.
