What does everyone think of the new services being set up which offer a free PC if you sign up to a Broadband contract? A good idea or bad? Thanks for all points of view

Its just a sad effort by orange to get people to use their god awful internet service.

Its a great idea, because people get the chance of experiencing a computer and the internet, i think PC World is doing it, when you sign up to orange broadband you get a free laptop. Great idea Overall, but how do they manage to give "Free Laptops" wouldent they go into dept becuase they have to produce all them Laptops?

Give people a very bad experience of computers and the internet with that very low spec laptop and tied into a two year contract with Orange.

When I bought my first proper pc over 12 years ago it was over �1000. The cost of computing has fallen drastically and is well within the reach of most people, without having to lumber themselves with this 'freebie'.
