Membrane to stop weeds

I am having some block paving done, does anyone know where is the cheapest place to buy membrane to put down first please?

My husband bought some pin holed membrane from Wickes, which he placed under shingle in the garden - thank goodnes it works!

Meant to ask - are you doing the block paving yourself, or having a landscaper/builder do it?

The reason I ask, is because our next door neighbour has just had their drive done & the builder put membrane down before laying the blocks.

hi just read your post. when we did our drive ourselves we were on a very tight budget and my father in law told us to use wheelie bin liners. you cut them so they open out flat and because they are a thick plastic they stop weeds coming thru. we did that and that was 7 years ago and we havent had a single weed come thru. Hope it helps.
