BT Broadband Option 3 package
Seeing as BT dont seem to know their arse from their elbow ...
Does anyone out there have the full broadband package from BT ? the one that comes with the "hub" and the phone ...
If so, is that phone the only one you need to use ... or do you only use that one for the extra free calls you get with the broadband package ?
And can you still use an real answer phone on the same line ... (not the 1571 service)

This also has the answerphone - no real need on the broadband one? The 'normal' phone is also used for those calls that you have to pay for (0845? and premium competition lines etc.).
We use the broadband phone for calling out - you get free calls at evenings and weekends but we took out the extra for daytime free calls - only 5 per month. You do get an extra number (ours is quite weird, like a mobile, but a friend managed to get a local STD code on his number).
It is handy having the two phones because if one person is 'hogging' the phone, you can always use the other one!

I have the option 3 and the hub phone can be used anytime of the day as well as your normal bt phone . But after 6.00pm weekdays and at weekends only use your hub phone that is when all calls are free (excluding mobile,0870 etc). also if you are speaking to someone who also has a hub phone the clarity over the broadband connection is superb.
