Does anyone know where i can get a side rail for my sons cotbed? I have got a tomy one that folds down but it doesnt work on a slatted bed and he does occasionally fall out of the bed.

I have seen one that has to be screwed to the bed but i dont want to risk damage to the frame .

Hi I have a Tomy one that works on my daughters cot bed and that is slatted. It doesn't keep perfectly still but it is very adequate, I just lay the long rail things across the top of the bed and put the mattress on top and she has never fallen out of bed. It cost 25 from toys r us and is a pooh bear design

thanks tigwig, Im sure the pooh bear one is same design as the blue one we have but will take another look at it. The fact that the mattress sits within the bed rather than above means that the one we have lifts the mattress up at one side
Yes ours does lift the matress ever so slightly but because it is only a thin mattress for a cot it is not that bad at all and to make the bed comfy I put a spare quilt on top of the mattress and the sheet over the top so it is really cosy to lie on!
I had the same trouble when my daughter needed a bed rail. Her cotbed also had a slatted base so i just simply used cable/garden ties to keep it in place on the slats. Did the job very well!
