netgear and hotmail

the op system is xp with sp2 installed. ive removed the McAfee firewall and turned the windows firewall off. i haven't even attempted to change any settings on the netgear router. ive have just upgraded to the latest firmware and still have the same problem. you can get on to the hotmail log on page but when you go to log in it just doesn't load. if you connect via my laptop on a dial up connection you get on ok

Is it a security setting in Internet Explorer? Turn them down to low or off completely then retry.

Go to help in IE. Pull down to ABout IE- there will be a cipher strngth. I think you will find this is not 128 bit - if it is not you will not be able to log on. Update your IE
