if you google with the important words you will come across a book - you will then have to check this out at your library as the answer is not on the net
I am stuck on this as well, but can't check it out at library as it is closed for refurbishment. Any other clues please.

Great clue, football. My local library didn't have the book, so I rang a nearer, much larger library - they were very helpful.
Question Author

The author is more famous for another novel
I think I've got the author - but WH Smiths/Waterstones/Library doesn't have the book I think it is. Would it be a one-word title? Help!
