Were you hit by a shock �40 surcharge on your Utilita gas/electric bill 18 months ago ? If so has anyone had any luck in reclaiming this money?

Thanks Ethel. In January 2006 EnergyWatch said "Consumers concerned about the company�s behaviour should contact energywatch and we will leave no stone unturned in our bid to achieve justice for these consumers.�. unfortuantely energywatch are now saying there is nothing they can do- it's up to individual customers to ask Utilita for a refund (and of course they said No) or make aclaim through small claims court (which costs around �40!). So, a regulator with no teeth.
