Why is it that on all these makeover programmes, the experts put their paint in a paint kettle? Is it just a professional touch or do they serve a practical purpose?
The main reason for using a paint kettle is to avoid having to haul a big, heavy tin of paint around. Also, if you get dirt or anything else on your brush you won't then contaminate the whole tin. This is especially useful when you've got more than one person working from the same tin.
