new camera - help...

I've had a Nikon digital camera for a few years and it's served me well (even though it was only 3 mega pixel) - I'm now looking for a new camera (not too expensive) and would be grateful for any suggestions/help/advice...

It is very hard to give advice unless we know what you want from a camera.

Do you want a small point and shoot camera for taking pictures of friends and family.

Or do you want a larger camera with a long zoom lens for taking pictures of birds or other wildlfe.

Or do you want something in between.

And how much do you want to pay. You can get a digital camera from �30 or pay up to �5000.

Give us a few pointers to what you want it for and how much money you have.
