When I was a child I was given a book by my Sunday school. It was about a family looking for something and the biblical quote "I will lift.."etc featured in it. In the end the family dfound whatever it was in a cave on a hillside. Any ideas as it's driving me potty.
Also where can I find the fairy story about Iris who had a pair of wings made from the rainbow?

Dont know if this is of any help re: Iris query. I suspect you are looking for a childrens story into which that story fits.....

This is probably a different book to the reference you made about about a fiary with wings.
My only recollection were the series of childrens books called "Pookie" but it was a furry rabbit with wings. Think it was written by Iris Wallace, but not sure.
