Maybe the dying at 3am is due to the bodys natural sleep and rest pattern, when it could be argued that it is at it's most relaxed.
Then again, is it actually true that more people die around 3am then at any other time?

oh that must make you feel really freaked out!!! whta prompted you to ask the question in the first place? From my own family history research I have never found a time of death on a death certificate or in a burial register, i assume that a TOD is recorded when the patient dies in hospital, and also that it is established after a PM, but normally the time recorded on a medical file is not then copied to anything else. Therefore for most people it is not something they ever come across.
