can i enter the usa with a drink drive conviction ?

Hi , i am of to the usa on october the 3rd and have a drink drive conviction last month . will i be able to enter the states with no probs ? i have been told that if i don not tell them , then it is not possible for them to know ? does any one no if this is true or just wishfull thinking ?
i have been over there 3 times allready this year and passed through with no problems but did not have the conviction on those times . please advise , many thanks

Yes, this is unofficially true as the US have no access to UK criminal files
You have left it too late to apply for a visa proper anyway as, again form what is written here, it takes at least 6 months to get one going down the proper channels

Not necessarily so ojread2. My partner got his visa in around 4 weeks.

Murraymush, i would take the chance and dont mention it. tick no to all the questions on the green waiver form and im sure you wont have any problems. Have a great time x

Drink driving is not a crime of 'moral turpitude' in the USA therefore you can truthfully tick the 'no' box on the form and get in with no problems. They won't know. If they did they wouldn't care.

Drink driving is an absolute bar to entering Canada BTW - but they don't ask Brits and have no records.
