hi this information page pops up from time to time on my pc, i am given several options
1. rename
2. delete
3. access deny
4. cant recall the rest, i select access deny, then got thinking delete would be the best option? any thoughts please?

Yes, delete would be the best option. Access deny is theoretically useful in the case that a system file becomes infected, the idea being that the file can be repaired later. In practice, (imho) it's better to delete the virus, and replace any infected system files with the originals.
