If you look carefully, you'll find them.
Snails lay eggs, which hatch into tiny snails. As far as I know, this applies to land, freshwater and sea snails. However, as there are many thousands of species, I'd not be surprised to find some have live babies.
After a rainy night there are hundreds and hundreds of tiny baby snails on the wall at the front of my house. I took this photo for a project one of my children was doing for school

each snail is about 1cm across.
Lodekka -- they may not be too keen on you either...
Spiders are lovely creatures. Snails are not only lovely, but tasty too.
Come to think of it, I've never tried a spider -- perhaps I'm missing something?
