dog has caught one of his claws

my dog has caught one of his claws whilst running,its the back one on the inside,its a bit warm but i wasnt sure wether to take him to the vets?he seems ok in himself but is still limping and this was on sunday that he did it?should i take him as it drew bllod as i dont want it to be infected? help pls xx

She is very fast and very fragile.
Other breeds are much more substantial and do not get this problem, and they are just a bit sore for a few days.

thanks guys,i havent taken him to the vet yet,he was fine when i got home,jumping round the garden and bringing me flower pots complete with earth in to my house!he has the odd moment when he limps slightly but otherwise fine.the claw looks to be healing and its not loose.he flinches a little if i have a look at it but i would expect that.i will keep an eye on it and if i see any changes to it or it becomes hot or swollen ill take him to the vets right away.hes a miniature pinscher and hes a bit of a wuss when he does the slightest thing anyway! thanks anyway for advice xxxx
