Fake blonde with dark eyebrows

I have naturally dark brown hair and therefore dark brown eyebrows - not black, but not far off. I recentlyly decided that blondes have more fun (figure of speech!) so went the route of the bottle. Which I love (apart from the monthly visit to conquer the roots), but I still have dark brows.

A beauty salon I went to said they could only tint eyebrows darker and that the only way to make them lighter is to get your hairdresser to put some of the dye/bleach on them. I have visions of doing that and them turning orange or disappearing altogether so am reluctant to go that route. Does anyone have any other ideas? I can't be the only fake blonde with naturally dark eyebrows!

i remember watching some make over show and the make artist suggested getting a gold coloured eyeshadow and lightly brushing it through the brows, it won't make them lighter obviously, but it'll catch the light.  Give it a go.  I'm fairly sure you can get DIY kits to lighten brows too.

If you don’t want to lighten your eyebrows, pluck them.  Well kempt eyebrows are less obvious than big thick bushy ones (look at Madonna during the Who’s That Girl era, to how she looks now…).  Go to a salon and get the waxed and thinned out, it’ll make a big difference.

my friend had this same problem and her hairdresser suggested the same thing (to bleach her eyebrows). It sounded drastic, but because they didn't leave the bleach on for too long, the eyebrows went a nice shade of blonde. She thought they looked a little too light, so she now uses a blonde/light brown eyebrow pencil on them to make them a sandy blonde shade- they look really nice and completely natural.

My friend applies a tiny amount of lemon juice to her brows before going out in the sun, it acts as a natural bleach...apparantly...wouldnt risk it myself mind! Lol

Well I tried the facial hair lightener (Veet to be exact) last night and my brows are now a fetching orange colour. My boyfriend has found this very amusing.

As such, I am going to have them tinted tonight. This will achieve my overall aim as they will bleach them and then darken them (but not as dark as they were initially).

Many natural blondes actually have dark brows, so don't feel bad! I would say make sure that it doesn't look right before doing anything. Are you being paranoid? Ask your friends if they have even noticed your eyebrows looking too dark compared to your new hair color.

I myself am a fake blonde who was born blonde and whose hair began to darken once I hit 16. My brows are dark, but everyone always assumes I'm a natural blonde because of my skin tone and light eyes. If you really think the dark brows don't suit the new hair color though, lots of blondes do get them lightened. Just make sure you go to a reputable salon who knows what they're doing. :)
