can anybody give me a clue for no's 83 and 87 please i think i must be thick as the clues that i have had i just can't make any headway with thanks.

OK ... try using roman numerals (49) for last two letters of answer to 83.

Hi Bibster .. 49 is usually shown as IL .. (i.e. 1 from 50),
I think you already hinted at the answer earlier.
