shenmue 3

has anyone played the previous shenmue games? I for one feel really jipped that after struggling thru the first 2 games they are not planning on releasing the third and final installment over here....or so i have read anyone know any different?

I played some of the 1st one but didnt really enjoy it as i am not into rpg games. It all seemed a bit odd playing a game where you have to go to work !

Im sure originally Shenmue was planned for 9 episodes so I guess if it has been reduced to 3 then it goes a long way to explaining why they arent releasing globally.

There is no Shenmue 3. At all. Anywhere.

The first two cost Sega a lot of cash and were not successful enough to justify that kind of outlay again.

There was/is a Shenmue Online in development but has been stuck in development hell for quite some time and at one point one of the parties involved dropped out and they owned half the rights.

Don't hold your breath.

All I know is that on GameCentral on Teletext there's always someone saying they heard a rumour about Shenmue 3 or someone complaining about it's demise.

Sega has said numerosu times they would like to do Shenmue Three.
There has been talk of making 1 and 2 for the arcade download format.
They also have hinted that three could be developed for 360.
Sadly I would not hold your breath.
