Well it now turns out that I have Keratoconus in BOTH eyes. Yipee. :o|
After lots of tests at the hospital (including having my pupils dilated so that my eyes turned completely black and I looked like death and couldn't see anything!!) it seems that my left eye is at the extreme end of the scale and therefore it's likely that even rigid contact lens' won't work.
So I'm going to have to have rigid contacts specially made for my right eye, and a corneal transplant for my left eye.
Anybody out there got a cornea they don't need?

I've had them since I was 14, my sight is only going to worsen and currently I can't do anything about it, no amount of surgery will fix it. But technology as far as eyballs go is improving all the time, so fingers crossed.
At least you have one eye that doesn't currently need a cornera and on will turn up soon enough!
