Personally i'm not bothered about it I'm in debt but what the hell I've got plently to show for it plus I'm in the process of paying it off. Does anyone elses opinion differ? How does your soul feel about this?!

Being honest here ove the past 8 years i built up loads of debt with loans credit cards etc to the tune of around 40. 000 pound yes and that does read 40.000 pound i just could not keep up the payments so moved house 3 years ago will come back on this one in a mo

I hate being in debt. Im not a great believer in credit cards, loans etc because if you havent got the money then in my opinion, you can't have! But then again , i am a bit tight ! :-)

Sorry about that anyway losts of sleepless nights later about half of the debt collectors have gave up and the ones that have not given i negotiated with them and am paying each of them 10 pound a month each debts of around 18 grand but no doubt i will eventually have to bankrupt myself as will be paying the rest of my life otherwise

I owed 40K, at my parents address. I packed up left the country for 6 months and have paid nothing on it for 3 1/2 years. I get the odd letter per month which all get returned saying no longer at this address living abroad.

I'm not on the electoral register, I can't get credit but now if I want something I save up. I have not been declared bankrupt in my absence, no bayliffs have gone to my parents and when I last checked I had no CCJs against me.

Revfunk, do you realise that by running up the debt while you used your parents' address, this will have possibly put them on a "blacklist" (because they lived there too)and they may get probs if they want to apply for credit?
