My nephew is 15 hasn't been too school for 3 yrs, due to his mother saying she wants to teach him at home, he wants to go to school near his dad, where all his friends are but his mum says he can't, at what age can my nephew make the choice.

he is definetely at an age where he can make his own choices. Hes nearly 16 for gods sake!!

Tell his dad or the lad himself to contact local education authority if he is truly being stopped from going to school. What are the reasons for his mum stopping him-its not healthy is it?? Poor lad will have trouble mixing with others.
