Hi - I have my house up for sale - a bungalow in a v popular estate. However, when I bought it, it was really run down. I have spent as much as i can dragging it into the 21st century, but it still has some minor cosmetic stuff needing doing. I've painted it, tidied up the (huge) garden etc., but I still dont think it truly looks modern. Whilst it's a massive improvement on what it was & has GCH & DG fitted, i've comp run out of money and it doesnt seem to be getting a great deal of interest. Does anyone have any quick-fix/extremely cheap ideas to help push the sale along? TIA
ask your estate agent if people are commenting on what they don't like. it could be something really easy to fix. how about making sure it looks really nice, cosy and inviting inside with lots of cushions, candles and ALWAYS make sure that it is neat and tidy when people come around to view the place. no one wants to see your dirty laundry or washing up, so hide any mess in cupboards if you haven't had time to tidy properly before they arrive!
