How do they know about the prize money

When Liam won the �100.000 the rest of the housemates were told that there was no longer any prize money for the winner at the end of the show.
So why are housemates discussing who they would like to win and get the money.
e.g. Jerry saying before he left the house he thought Carol should get it because she needs the money.
Did BB have to tell them there was still a big money prize to stop any of them just walking out when they thought they had had enough, and there was no insentive to stay.

When the halfway housemates entered the house, the original housemates were told about it. Do you remember the task where they were news readers etc. Well on one of those news bulletins that was the story that the prize money was still up for grabs. I think bb told them because of the new halfway housemates that were gonna enter the house.

Yes and also they were never told when Liam won the money that that was it. He just won the money. The housemates either assumed it was the only money, or didn't. BB didn't specify.
