Depends. If you have a Mac, you're fine, because viruses can't be picked up (if you have a few options on). And if you have the paid for version (the non-paying people can be tracked by the RIAA). And how much downloading you do. If you're going to be a complete MP3 *****, then you could get caught, but if it's light downloading then that should be cool.

*mutter I use LimeWire and it's fine BUT PAID FOR mutter*

Hasn't affected my computer's performance, only my iTunes Library ;)
...i've used the 'free' downloadable version of LimeWire for a couple of years now, on my iMac, with no problems whatsoever....

I don't actually have it, but quite a few of my friends do, and one of them has downloaded about 200 songs and he's only had it for about a week. He has a PC by the way.

Download the free version, and once you have it look up the pro version then download that! Job done. Easy.

Limewire is spyware central, like Kazaa, Bear Share and a few others.

I recomend eMule which you get from www.download.com or www.warez.com Both are free with no spyware

This product is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like the Internet again. Speeds are up by 90-95%. Now, Im downloading from the Web in much less than 1/16 the time, which is important in my line of work. The install was flawless and now, so are my downloads. Thanks to Kazaa Platinum. Try it yourself http://www.kazaa-platinum.com
