Record number of people leave UK
More people left the UK last year than in any year since 1991, statistics just released suggest. Some 385,000 people have left the country.
Now before you all start to worry about who is going to pay all your pensions in your dotage, fortunately there were 574,000 immigrants arrived.

Should we start advertising abroad for more immigrants, to keep up with this mass emigration?

i moved to australia because i got sick to the back teeth of things in the uk... crime, immigration, rip you of where they can the list goes on and on.
it should be like here in australia if you aint got nothing to offer then you dont get in simple as that. skilled people who can support themselves not relying on the state for handouts. population 21 million in a vast country.

I have already started moves to emigrate, most of my familt live in the states and my aunt who lives in New Zealand, have a standard of living far in excess of what I would ever achieve here.
I don't have a problem with immigrants, I do have a problem with the workshy benefits culture of which the vast amounts of my tax and NI money go to keep in plasma tellys and also the yobs who hang around the shops, shouting abuse and getting blootered on buckfast. I also have a problem with not having a NHS dentisit and having to pay private and the fact that my son will struggle to get a decent education unless I pay privately.
The grass must surely be greener on the other side.
Oh yes I forgot the price of food, fuel, clothing , eating out and the appalling weather,
My only question is why haven't I gone yet?
