Recording from Video Camera to DVD

How do I connect my Video camera (not digital) to my DVD recorder - to download recordings - I assume that svideo is just for video - what about audio ?
The camera has svideo and audio outputs - would I be correct in using both ?

You need to connect both. The svideo only carries the video stream.
