emailing pictures

If I create a card with a picture on it using Publisher, then email it to someone, would they need to have publisher installed on their computer to open and view it?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am not good on the computer!

if you save as "pub" - yes

the only formats that comes anywhere to being "universal" are .... PDF or HTML
Publisher can handle html (but it's messy as a general format

PDF is much better
you don't say which version of pub ... office 2007 has a pdf add-on you can d/l
