No, bar staff need to be 18.
You cannot serve anything deemed to have an age rating law on if you under that age. Inc... dvds, beer, cigs...
I worked in a private, members only snooker club and served alcohol when I was 16. That was ten years ago. Not sure whether the law has changed
Indie Singer, chapter and verse please.
No but a 16 year old can work in a bar as a glass collector.
If I recall correctly, you need to be 18 to sell alcohol, but you can be 16 to assist in the sale of alcohol (waiting tables etc).
Not legally but it does happen
I Believe it is 18! But there maybe a loophole in the law! I've been served at a supermarket before and the checkout 'kid' simply had to have it acknowledged by someone over 18 that he was selling it. Or so it seemed!
QPR has a point, under 18 just have to ask an over 18 in supermarkets - maybe thats part of the assisting in the sale of alcohol e.g. they are being supervised meaning they are then more like a waiter? as you can see i don't really know, under 18's do sell alcohol in all my local supermarkets
They can if they havent poured the drink and the pub has a food licence
